A Burning Man gathering of about 25,000 people occurs every year at the Black Rock Desert [the playa] in Nevada. Scot Aaron attended Burning Man in 2004where he created art and took many photographs. On Friday at the end of the week most camps gathered to burn the wood figure of a man - hence the concept of a burning man. Link to Burning Blues for an artists creation of when participants watch the man burn so they can burn up their blues.
On Saturday night - after volunteers work throughout the week - everyone gathers to watch the burning of the of the wood temple. Music surrounds art cars and Burning Man groups gathered to watch this intense event. The enlarged version of the temple dance looks amazing - as if spirits emerge from the fire.
